Faith Church celebrated her 25th Anniversary during a special service on Sunday, June 9. The theme for the day was “Let it Shine.” Pastor Albert preached on Jesus’ statement, “I am the light of the world,” and shared with the congregation that Jesus wants to be the light of their world, and Jesus also wants them to be a light to the world.
Guest musicians participated in the service, while the Adult Choir performed “Let it Shine” as well as “This is the Day,” a song written especially for Faith Church during our 30 Days to Live campaign by Lorraine Nelson Wolf. Kevin Tintle talked about the beginning of Faith Church and reminded all that “All praise be to God.” A video with pictures from the last 25 years was shown, and a picture of Pastor Bert, the founding pastor of Faith church was revealed in the back of the sanctuary.
After the worship service, the celebration continued at the church picnic at Shannon Park, where everyone had a great time. Thank you to all for their help in making it a most memorable day.
